The Federation of Information Technology Industry of Sri Lanka (FITIS) – Software Chapter is organizing the Young Computer Scientist (YCS) competition together with the Ministry of Education and the support of the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), for the 20th time in Sri Lanka. The competition is modelled on the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Competition and is targeted at recognizing the ICT talents and innovations of school children at an early stage.

Commenting about the competition, a spokesperson from FITIS said “This year, the YCS competition is stepping successfully into its 20th consecutive year with the new normal, using a virtual platform to reach out to students enabling them to participate without any obstacles.”
